Heartfelt Appreciation Card

Hey there, everyone!  Lea here today with a card full of soft colors and beautiful flowers.  I started with some beautiful Teresa Collins papers, from the Sweet Afternoon collection.  I just love the soft colors and elegant patterns from this gorgeous paper collection.  They mix perfectly with some of the Prima Marketing flowers that have made their way into my stash from StopAndScrap.com!!  Here is the card that I created:
If the Sweet Afternoon 6x6 paper pad wasn't enough, the collection also has some sheets of matching diecuts- which is where the sweet sentiment tag came from.  I stamped a greeting to it from my personal collection of stamps and then accented it with crocheted lace, pearls & a twine threaded button.

While this card has quite a few layers...it still has a simple design and could easily be replicated.  Pick out your favorite papers and flowers, and go to town! Or better yet, get some Sweet Afternoon product for yourself!

Teresa Collins "Sweet Afternoon" is still available in the StopAndScrap.com store, so just click on the banner below and it will take you right to where you can order!

Thanks for hanging out with me today!!  I hope that you enjoyed my Sweet Afternoon project!

Until later,
~Lea L.

Jillibean pocket card...

Hello! Monika here today with a fun pocket card. Summer is just around the corner, so I decided to use some fun papers by Jillibean Soup, that reminded me of summer. Audrey had a sweet card couple of days ago using the same cheerful papers from the Coconut Lime Soup collection.

This pocket card was super easy to make. The base is just a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of Kraft card stock that I decorated with designer paper pieces. I used various dies and punches to make my rosette and the flags... but if you don't have these 'fancy' tools, you can use your cutting board and a scoring blade.

This sweet pocket card can also be incorporated into your scrap booking project. It's a great way of adding journaling or some extra photos to your page.

I decorated my rosette with Pink Paislee buttons from the Indigo Bleu collection. I also used some Baker's Twine from my stash.

If you have some fun stamps and rhinestones, you can easily fancy up your project, just like I did.  Studio Calico and Hero Arts have some really fun sets that can be used on so many different projects.

The fun sketch for my card came from Got Sketches?, sketch #144.

Thanks for stopping by today!

NEW! Graphic 45 Happy Haunting Collection!

Good day, StopAndScrap.com Friends! It's Gloria with you today and I have a peek at the NEW Graphic 45 Happy Haunting collection! I know it is early to be creating Halloween layouts, but when you are as far behind in your scrapbooking as I am, you need a head start!

I used some of the Happy Haunting papers, plus the chipboard elements and stickers!

I used a combination of American Crafts and Graphic 45 Core'dinations cardstock for my layers.

The flowers are from Petaloo and Prima. I tucked the various sticker and chipboard elements into the flowers. To give them added dimension, I first attached the stickers to some scrap chipboard.

I added a fancy pin from Webster's Pages into the top of the flower arrangement. If you look at the products for color, tone, and style, it is easy to mix and match various product lines into one cohesive project!

I hope you had fun visiting! My plan is to give you a rotation of cards, layouts, and altered/mixed media items! I know the rest of the DT will be sharing all sorts of interesting things with you! Make sure you check back often!

Altered Water Can

Good  morning and happy Friday to you! I'm sure many of you are looking forward to the upcoming 3-day weekend which marks the official start of summer! Today we also remember our fallen soldiers who have given their lives for us. Thank you is never enough.

Today's video was a total disaster. I accidentally deleted everything that I wanted while editing. Then 4 videos later, I figured out that I have a software issue. 10 hours later. I'm done with no video. I know my limits and respect them. This week I will figure out what my problem is to get back on track.

I was so torn as to what to make today, so I decided to alter a water can. You can easily pick this up at Michael,s for a few dollars. I used Heidi Swapp products and and had fun creating this. My video was actually 28 minutes long but I edited it down to 15 and you know the rest.

I also promised one of our followers a 6 x 6 paper pad if we went over 100 Followers and we did! Our winner is OLIVIA LARSON! Please contact me at cindy@stopandscrap.com and I will get you all fixed up. Congratulations Olivia! Remember that I only ship to the United States. I think this is something that I'll do every week. For this week's giveaway, how about a 2 packages of Webster's Pages (Game On); one of fabric ribbons and the other of Designer Trim (Game On)? Are you up for that? I'd like to see 150 Followers by this time next week.

Since I don't have a video for you today and really pray I get it fixed for next week, I'm going to describe to you just how easy this was to make and it's cute!

I took the newsprint Heidi Swapp Trimmings (Information) and lightly distressed the edges using Tim Holtz/Ranger Vintage Photo Distress Ink with a blending tool. I applied a strip of 1/8" Scor-Tape to the top of the 12" length of trim and a 1/4"" Scor-Tape to the back. The front tape is to hold the ribbon in place and the bad is to firmly secure it to the Water Can. I used Scor-Tape  as my adhesive for this entire project. I added some blue buttons from my stash alternating the colors and the sizes. You want the smaller buttons on the ends and the larger buttons working their way toward the center taking care to alternate colors. Be sure to measure 12" around your watering can so that you have the ends almost meeting or meeting, as we have ways to cover that up. Remove the adhesive on the back of the trim and wrap it around the water can. You do have some wiggle room if goes on crooked. You want the edges to meet right above the lower handle of the can. Remove the 1/8" Scor-Tape on the front. Cut a long length of blue ribbon, fold it in half, and start adhering it to the can on the opposite side of the handle. Tie ribbon into a bow in front of the handle and snip a "V" into the ribbon. Two lengths of twine into a bow and adhere to the center of the blue ribbon at an angle so that you can see both ribbons. I then used 3 Prima flowers to decorate around the bow. Previous to that, I sprayed some Studio Calico Mister Huey's glimmer mist onto the flowers and fluffed out the petals. I arranged them on the water can as shown and adhered large faux pearls in the center of each flower.

This project is so easy and fun, and a great way to dress up any type of home decor.

I hope that you like this project and it's so versatile that you can use it on any item in your house!

Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you back next week with another prize winner and video! God bless you and thank you for stopping by. Sugar Chic Shopping

Hi Laurel here with a layout that I really enjoyed making because these Heidi Swapp papers are just so pretty and were perfect for this photo (which I snuck from my daughters facebook, shhhh)  I used the Heidi Swapp Sugar Chic papers, some stamps and I used my Cricut to cut out some of the embellishments. I am into the Cricut groove again lately.

Now for a few close up detail shots.  I made the leaves for my die cut roses out of some ribbon, and note that I embellished the die cut glasses with some little heart gems.  Of course I always add a bit of stitching here and there, none of my projects seem complete without it.

A die cut tag, some stitching and a tab of ribbon.

Stamps were used for the tone on tone stamping and the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope I have inspired you!

Be sure to check out all the new Pre-Orders, New items and of course the Clearance section of StopAndScrap.  Lots of great products, there is something for everyone!

Hi Everyone!
True :D here to share a card with you.

Mine is the second post of the day, so make sure and scroll down when you are finished looking at my card to see the sweet CAS cards that Savannah posted this morning.

I used some fun "On The Boardwalk" papers from We R Memory Keepers' 6x6 pad. It is such a fun set of designs and it worked perfectly with the surfing dog image I chose to use!

The surfboards are printed on one of the papers, and I simply cut around them when creating my first layer of "waves". I really love the sweet colors in this paper stack and summer is upon us, so it's perfect timing to have this set on hand! You can purchase it and many other items now at StopAndScrap
Don't forget to check out all of the awesome items now available for pre-order also!

2 CAS cards with Savannah O'Gwynn

Hello, friends:}

Savannah O'Gwynn here today to share some CAS cards using some StopAndScrap products!

CAS cards are my favorite to make right now because 1) they are clean and simple and 2) it doesn't take a lot of time (and time definitely moves quicker now that I'm getting older! LOL!).

I created a quick friendship card using the NEW Echo Park release: Sweet Day. This collection kit has everything you need for several CAS cards. I used three different papers and a sticker from this kit. LOVE how this turned out. And the sentiment is TRUE: friends do make everything better:)
Supplies: Echo Park papers and stickers, black cardstock, EK Success punch

For my second card, I used the same Echo Park collection kit. I made a birthday card using two different patterned papers, a sticker, and a sentiment. I added some glitter and gems for extra pop! Again, this sentiment is TRUE: cupcakes make everything better:)
Supplies: Echo Park papers and stickers, Martha Stewart glitter, gems

And yesterday I shared project on my blog using my Basic Grey PB & J papers {available HERE from StopandScrap}. It's a math game for some little friends who enjoy adding and subtracting!

Be sure to check out all the sales and clearance HERE on the StopandScrap website! And there are NEW Hero Arts stamps available; check out the new releases HERE

Teacher Appreciation

Hello, StopAndScrap Fans! It's Gloria with you today. As a homeschool mom of 13 years, I know how important our childrens' teachers are! Teachers, whether in traditional school settings, Sunday school, coaching, or homeschooling, deserve our respect and admiration. Take time today to thank the teachers in your child's life!

I have made a card with a matching gift card holder. Gift cards to a favorite coffee shop, book store, or salon are much appreciated by busy teachers! Why not make a cute holder in which to present the card?

I used the Webster's Pages Game On 6x6 Collection papers for my project. I enjoy the petite collections from Webster's Pages as they are perfect for card making! There are loads of NEW 6x6 papers available in the Pre Order section!

I created a standard 5.5 x 4.25 inch card out of cardstock from American Crafts.

The matching gift card holder is actually a  Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Pocket Envelope die cut shape!

The die cut shape comes with the envelope and two closure circles. You simply fold and adhere the envelope together and place two mini brads through the closure circles. Keep the envelope closed with a bit of twine or string.

The envelope is the perfect size to hold a standard sized gift card!

Make sure you take a look at the NEW kits for my Graphic 45 Little Darlings Altered Box and Mini Ablum! Both the kits and inividual items are IN STOCK in the Daily Deals section! Click HERE for the printable Tutorial.

Thanks for visiting!

How to Make Your Own Daybook Video

Happy Friday! Daybooks are all the rage now with journaling and everything. They are so versatile that you can use this book for anything that you want. When I saw Vicki Burdick's Christmas Notepad, I knew I had to make something like this for you. It just demonstrates to you even more what you can really do with this. Vicki made an adorable 4 x 6 Christmas Notepad and I'm sure that I'll eventually do as well. It's adorable and too cute. The concept behind my Daybook/Journal is that since summer vacation is coming up and we're taking our pictures, it's important to write down the date and what the picture is about. That way, when you finally get it into a scrapbook, it will refresh your memory. My daughter is having a beach themed graduation party in, oh wow, 8 days, so I thought that it would be nice for her to write down her memories. There are slots in the Daybook for her to put pictures in. It's all yours to design and decorate for your needs, but I have a feeling that this will be used over and over again for different events in our lives.

For my Daybook, I used Fancy Pants products of Summer Soul and Wave Searcher that are so compatible with each other that I showed you last week in my haul video.

I hope that you enjoy watching the video and that you will make it a fun weekend project. Remember that we have a Flikckr Gallery just for you to share your projects with us and we'd love to see them! I do need to go there and take a look-see of gallery standouts so that we can show you off here on the blog. We all really appreciate your feedback at StopAndScrap.com so if there's something that you'd like to see demonstrated in the future, just shoot me off an email at cindy@stopandscrap.com. I would also like to thank Vicki for her permission to hijack her measurements :)

God bless you and have a great weekend! We're just shy of 100 blog followers so if we can get over 100 by noon Sunday, I'll personally send a 6 x 6 paper pad to one lucky winner (Continental 48 states only please).

Be sure to check out all of the great pre-orders. I went over my budget already! And again, continue to look for new product arriving daily in the store. We really appreciate and value you as our customer and are so thrilled that you're growing with us.

Monsieur Gift Bag

Hi everyone, Laurel here with a masculine project.  I don't know about you but I find I create more girly type things that masculine ones.  Well, with Mother's Day over I decided to start thinking about what I would do for my dad.  For today's project I have used the Monsieur collection from Pretty Little Studio.  This is one of the newest collections from Pretty Little Studio so it is on Pre-Order, but order now so you can get yours in time to make something for Father's Day!  As a side note, I made the panel for the front of the bag and adhered it with Removable Glue Dots so that my mom, who likes to reuse things can use the bag again.
